Amanda Wyss rose to prominence in the original A Nightmare on Elm Street with her role as Tina Gray (the first person murdered onscreen by Freddy Krueger). Tina's death was one of the most memorable from the film series, as she levitates from her bed and flies around the bedroom, and is dragged up the wall and across the ceiling.
When she was discovered by an agent as a teen while starring in the play The Bad Seed at a local Los Angeles theatre, she went on to work in commercials and landed her first television role, recurring on Universal's When the Whistle Blows as Dolph Sweet's daughter.
Wyss went on to appear in Fast Times at Ridgemont High as Lisa. She also went on to appear in the 1985 cult comedy film Better Off Dead as Beth, as well as critically acclaimed films Silverado and Powwow Highway. In 1990, Wyss appeared in the cult horror film, Shakma. In 2010, she appeared in The Graves, and 2016, she starred in the horror film The Id.
Wyss also starred in Season 1 of the fantasy television series Highlander: The Series as a reporter named Randi McFarland, while also having recurring roles on St. Elsewhere and Cagney & Lacey.
Wyss has made guest appearances on many television shows, including Charmed, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, Cheers, The Drew Carey Show, Cold Case, CSI, and Dexter. She currently portrays Kat Cooper in Murder in the First.
Amanda Wyss will be appearing at Niagara Falls Comic Con all three days.
